Annual Sadhana Shivir 2024 (Ayodhya)

Updated: Apr 21

Introduction

The concept of Sanyasa, traditionally understood as renunciation of worldly pursuits, finds a unique expression in Karma Yoga. Here, the path to spiritual liberation lies in performing your duties without seeking personal gain. The Bhagavad Gita, a sacred Hindu scripture, emphasizes Karma Yoga as a way to achieve divine bliss while leaving a positive impact on the world.

Rupadhyana Sadhana: A Powerful Meditation Practice

Jagadguru Sri Kripalu Jee Maharaj presents a simple yet profound approach to Karma Yoga. Rupadhyana Sadhana, a dedicated meditation practice, guides you to focus on the divine form, qualities, and activities of your chosen deity. This inward meditation helps cultivate a sense of connection with the spiritual realm. With consistent practice, your mind naturally turns inwards, allowing you to see your Guru and God as ever-present companions and protectors - a defining characteristic of a true Karma Yogi.

A 27-Years Legacy of Transformation

Since 1996, Braj Gopika Seva Mission (BGSM) has been conducting transformative spiritual retreats across India. These immersive experiences, known as Shivirs, combine soulful chanting (sankirtans), guided meditations, and enlightening discourses led by Swami Yugal Sharan Ji and Pujaniya Raseshwari Devi Ji, esteemed disciples of Sri Kripalu Jee Maharaj.

Experience the Shivir: A Week of Inner Discovery

Held annually during the summer at a sacred location in India, this year's Shivir unfolds in the holy city of Ayodhya from June 1st to June 7th, 2024.

The Shivir offers a structured and transformative experience spanning seven days. Participants observe a vow of silence (Mouna) throughout the day, with written communication encouraged for essential needs.

A Day at the Shivir

A typical day begins at 4:30 am and concludes by 9:00 pm, with designated periods for rest and reflection.

  • Aarti and Sankirtan: The day begins and ends with devotional chanting sessions.

  • Philosophical Discourses: Gain insights into ancient wisdom through discourses led by Swami Yugal Sharan Ji and Pujaniya Raseshwari Devi Ji.

  • Yoga and Pranayama: Invigorate your body and mind with early morning sessions of yoga and breathing exercises.

  • Rupadhyana Meditation: Deepen your connection with the divine through multiple meditation sessions throughout the day.

Braj Gopika Seva Mission invites you to discover ancient wisdom and rediscover balance in your life. Embrace the transformative experience of the Shivir and reconnect with your spiritual path. Find purpose and meaning in your life.
